Position Overview

The Documentation Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing Eagle 3D Streaming’s technical and internal documentation. This role involves creating, updating, and maintaining documentation that supports both clients and internal teams. The specialist will ensure that all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with the latest company developments and feature releases.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation for Eagle 3D Streaming’s products and services to support clients.
  • Create user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with development and support teams to ensure accuracy and clarity in documentation.

Internal Documentation:

  • Document new feature releases, updates, and changes within Eagle 3D Streaming’s platform.
  • Maintain internal knowledge bases, guidelines, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Work closely with internal teams to capture and document key processes and technical requirements.

Content Management (if possible):

  • Organize and manage all documentation, ensuring it is easily accessible to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Implement version control and document review processes to keep content up to date.
  • Utilize content management systems (CMS) to publish and manage documentation.

Quality Assurance:

  • Review and edit documentation for consistency, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Ensure all documentation meets Eagle 3D Streaming’s standards and aligns with the company’s voice and branding.
  • Continuously gather feedback from users to improve the quality and usability of documentation.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, support sales marketing and development teams, and marketing to gather information and ensure comprehensive documentation .
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, video editors to plan and support sales marketing and development teams, And customers for marketing and sales purposes. 
  • Participate in meetings to stay informed about new developments and ensure that documentation reflects the latest updates.
  • Work with the video creation team to guide the production of animated videos to present technical concepts in an easily understandable way.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in technical writing, documentation management, or a related field.
  • Experience using Jira or a similar support management tool.
  • Strong programming foundation, capable of understanding and documenting complex systems independently.
  • Good understanding of front-end and back-end web development terms.
  • Familiarity with or eagerness to learn game development terminology, especially Unreal Engine.
  • A passion for gaming and the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the industry.
  • Multi-tasking abilities and patience and ability to work at night shifts.
  • Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Confluence, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Eagerness to analyze and learn from tech companies’ documentation (e.g., Unreal Engine documentation, Facebook documentation).

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in customer support or a related field.
  • Knowledge of cloud gaming and streaming technology.
  • Experience with Node.js, Unreal Engine, and game development.
  • Experience in front-end web development.
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and content management systems.
  • Past experience in writing research papers or journal articles would be a plus.
